That said, do remember that past performance is not indicative of future performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\">In terms of fees, Variable Price Funds have a sales charge between 1.75% to 5%, depending on the channel of purchase.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\"><strong>On the other hand, ASNB\u2019s Fixed Price Funds are more unique. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\"><strong>For one, the value of the funds is fixed at RM1\/unit<\/strong>\u00a0no matter the market condition. In addition,\u00a0<strong>there is also no sales charge\u00a0<em>(yes, 0%)<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0for all 6 Fixed Price Funds.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-dots\" \/>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Benefits_of_ASNB_Fixed_Price_Funds\"><\/span><span class=\"font-555555\"><strong><u>Benefits of ASNB Fixed Price Funds<\/u><\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\">In the past, I have been receiving many requests to cover ASNB Fixed Price Funds. In this section, let\u2019s explore the benefits of these funds as they are seriously one-of-a-kind.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\">Personally, I am genuinely happy to see that out of the\u00a0<strong>6 Fixed Price Funds, 3 (ASM, ASM 2, ASM 3) are actually open to all Malaysians<\/strong>, and I am delighted for good reasons:<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"font-500830\"><strong>#1 ASNB Fixed Price Funds\u2019 Unit value is fixed at RM1\/unit<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\">Currently, all ASNB Fixed Price Funds are sold at RM1\/unit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\">This is a unique and convenient feature of Fixed Price Funds as you can plan your purchase without worrying about sudden price swings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">p<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"font-500830\"><strong>#2 ASNB Fixed Price Funds pay decent dividends<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\">ASNB Fixed Price Funds are well-accepted by fellow Malaysians for good reasons. Meaning, you do not have to pay any sales fee if you purchase new units.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\">That said, some funds such as ASB 2 and ASM 3 have full discretion to charge a 1% sales fee \u2013 just saying.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">p<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"font-500830\"><strong>#5 On-The-Spot Redemption<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\">You can withdraw your investments and get your money immediately (either via cash\/cheque\/bank transfer).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"font-500830\">On the other hand, online redemptions of up to RM1,000 a month are now available via myASNB portal and myASNB app.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-dots\" \/>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_you_need_to_know_Risks_of_investing_in_ASNB_Funds\"><\/span><span class=\"font-555555\"><strong><u>What you need to know + Risks of <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" href=\"https:\/\/nomoneylah.com\/2019\/01\/10\/5-differences-between-investing-trading-that-experts-may-not-tell-you\/\">investing<\/a> in ASNB Funds<\/u><\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\">One thing that we have to keep in mind is that there are no investments that are 100% risk-free. Here are what you need to know before investing in ASNB Funds:<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"font-500830\"><strong>#1 Market Risks and Interest Rate Risk<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\">The returns &amp; performance of both ASNB Variable and Fixed Price Funds are subject to the fluctuation of the market and interest rate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\">Specifically for Fixed Price Funds, while the unit value remains fixed at RM1\/unit, dividend payout may fluctuate in accordance with the funds\u2019 exposure to market movements and interest rate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">p<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"font-500830\"><strong>#2 Your Capital is not Protected by PIDM<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\">Just like any instruments with exposure to the capital market, your money is not protected by Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM) if ASNB goes bankrupt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">p<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"font-500830\"><strong>#3 Availability of Funds<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\">For ASM Funds, there is a quota capped to non-bumi. When the quota is fully filled, you may have a hard time trying to buy the funds (unless someone lets go of their units).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">p<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"font-500830\"><strong>#4 Withdrawal Limits<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\">Online redemptions via myASNB portal and myASNB app are available, but are only up to RM1,000 a month.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\">Any withdrawal of funds with value above RM1,000 must be made over the counter at ASNB\u2019s branches and agents.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-dots\" \/>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_open_an_ASNB_account_invest_in_ASNB_Funds\"><\/span><span class=\"font-555555\"><strong><u>How to open an ASNB account &amp; invest in ASNB Funds<\/u><\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"font-500830\">Opening an ASNB account used to be something that has to be done physically via ASNB branches or agents (eg.
